Is it worth to buy a 10 year old flat in Jayamahal extension

Q: I would like to know the following
1) Can i expect any appreciation after 5 to 10 years period?
2) Will i be able to sell the apartment after 5 to 10 years, total life of the apartment will be close to 20 years that time?
3) The owner had quoted 45L , Is it worth that much for a 2 BHK flat with 1026 sq-feet area?
4) The building has 7 Apartments in an area of 2400 sq-feet

Hey Iqbal, You can expect good rentals as the area is close to Frazer Town, RT Nagar, Bellary Road and Shivajinagar. For now the rentals for 2 bhk apartment in this area ranges from Rs 18,000 to Rs 25,000 per month

Hey Iqbal, If you are buying for an end use purpose then you can buy the apartment but if are planning to sell the property after 5 to 10 years then I do not think you will get good returns as apartments are good in condition for 15 to 20 years, after that it need renovation. People will prefer to buy a brand new flat than going for a 20 years old apartment.

I am planning to stay in this area till my children's starts going to college( Say 7-8 years), I have a Site near Yelhanka which I am planning to construct in near future.
If we don't sell the apartment after the stay for 7 years, Can i expect a decent rent from this apartment for my retirement?
