I use to stay in Wagholi and I feel it is one of the good places in Pune City. Mostly IT Professionals reside in this area. Wagholi has more than 100 residential projects under construction. Wagholi is yet under Gram Panchayat. But in the next 3 years it would be under PMC Limits.
Wagholi is a nice locality and is well connected with the other parts of the city. It is easily assessible by train, buses and public transport. Airport is around 19 kms from Wagholi.
@Rohit, there is no good school available in Wagholi and students have to travel to the near by places which also create traffic congestion during peak hour
Some of the near by hospitals are: Sushrusha Hospital, Dhanwantari Multispeciality Hospital,Imax Multispeciality Hospital and Lifeline Hospital.
PROS: Wagholi is becoming a preffered residential destination in Pune because of it affordability and proximity to various IT Hubs. The locality has good connectivity via Nagar road and easy access to social infrastructure, schools and malls. It seems a new four lan flyover is proposed which will connect Wagholi to Shikrapur. Nagar Road has now been widened into a six kane road. Less traffic is there because of the broad roads.
CONS: The infrastructure in this area need to be upgraded. Water supply and power need to be addressed. The locality is good for single professionals.

Hi, The zone has a built social Infrastructure which comprises of shopping centers (Inorbit Mall, Phoenix Market City), schools and hotels.However, water supply and power are the main concerns in the area that needs to be addressed. but soon this problem is rectified by the local authorities.
