@Pranab: There are direct buses from Thiruvanmiyur, T Nagar and Anna Nagar. By road It can be reached through Anna Salai, Chetpet and Central. By train Egmore station is an arterial station. The Chennai international airport is about around 20 kilometers away.

The price range in Egmore will be around Rs 10,415-13,650 . The average price per sq ft will be around Rs 12,000. Some of the good projects are such as follows:

@Pranab: Some of the good schools such as Don Bosco Matriculation School and Kalai Poonga Matriculation School. Colleges such as Ethiraj Women’s College and Egmore veterinary College are near by to this locality.

Hospitals such as Government Eye Hospital, Egmore and Women’s and Children’s Hospital are near to this area. Egmore lies slightly south west -3 kilometers away- of Chennai city center, that is George town, and can easily be reached by road.Egmore is one of the most important commercial areas of Chennai, offering several option to those interested in some serious shopping.

@Shyam Sundar: Egmore has the best of both worlds-its is quite and peaceful as a residential home and also extremely centrally located to all the commercial, official, educational schools and colleges, libraries, open spaces, shopping and entertainment places, clubs, hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, Marriage and exhibition halls, hospitals, railway stations, etc. Egmore is very easy and very convenient to stay for people of all age groups, also has easy access to fresh fruits and vegetables, parks, walking and playing spaces, broad roads, good public transport etc.

It is very centrally located and also still very calm, peaceful and clean environment. Most important is very well lit and extremely safe to commute and stay here. All conveniences are easily accessible. :)

@Vivek: The locality is beautiful with eat out joints, malls, hotels, bowling alley, hospitals, recreational facilities all in 200 meters radius from the building. You can also see the sea line from the balcony and the window. Its difficult to find a place like this in an area like this which is in the center of the city.

Egmore is the heart of Chennai City with Poonamallee High Road. As the divider and accessible to all the area. A road of Chennai is most of the buses towards central station and high court. Egmore station and other centers pass near this Gangu Reddy Road.

It is very good for investment purpose, as for short term, long term as well as end use. You can expect very good appreciation within 3 years. :)
