This infrastructure corridor is going to give a huge boost to Kerala's economy. The project will bring in thousands of jobs, and help in manufacturing growth. The Kochi-Palakkad National Investment and Manufacturing Zone will have the best commercial and industrial infrastructure. Paddy land in Ernakulam will be converted to build industries. The project will be a partnership of the central and state government and developers. The government plans to have different nodes, and each of these nodes will have an industrial township which will have industrial and housing facilities. The project will be in line with the central government's National Manufacturing Policy.

This policy has incentives like long-term soft loans, simplified central regulations, and single window clearance. Some infrastructure facilities like power is already there in Kerala, thanks to the LNG Terminal in Kochi. But, other infrastructure necessities for such a huge project like road connectivity, water, sewage treatment, drainage, and rail connectivity must be added.
