Q: Hai, I am moving to Tripunithra soon but I don't know much about the locality. Does this area have good infrastructural facilities or does it face any civic issues or anything? Also what sort of institutions like hospitals and schools are close by?
Tripunithara is a nice locality. the area is well connected to the rest of the city. Even the Vytilla Hub is easily accessible from here. Kalamassery has connection to Tripunithara via the state highway no 15 and the National Highway 47.
Tripunithara is a highly valued locality, you know because of its cultural heritage. The area is one of the proposed sub centers that undergo major developmental changes by giving major incentives to build commercial centres, malls, hypermarkets, pedestrian and parking facilities, as well as recreational facilities.
Also there is a lot of traffic problem here. The roads are narrow, and they are all buckling under the pressure of the huge number of cars and buses that ply in Kochi now. Also the narrow Pettah Bridge practically does nothing in sharing the traffic load and it just ends up trapping us all in this mess
. Residents are only throwing waste into open grounds because the Tripunithura Municipality do not pick up the garbage. Some apartments in the area have waste management agencies, but others throw the waste on the road and in empty plots.
There is garbage dumping here in Tripunithura. There is a lot of stench in the air in the entire area, and residents have also started dumping and burning the garbage. Because of this, the air in Tripunithura is also very smoggy and causing health problems for residents.
yeah the value of apartments range between 20 to 30 lakhs, for a 3500 to 4000 sqyare feet apartment. According to real estate experts this area does really have a lot of potential. In the near future, this locality is going to be buzzing with occupied commercial spaces and residential properties, thereby increasing development in this region. Hopefully, the increased demand for property here won't put unnecessary strains on the current infrastructural facilities. But many infra projects are ongoing in Tripunithra so that's a good thing. The affordability factor is another reason why so many project developers and builders and property owners are thinking about investing in Tripunithra. Plus property prices have appreciated of late.
Yeah this locality has lot of worth because it has a number of residential projects up and coming. These projects have been completed in residential pockets like irumpanam, Karangachira, FACT nagar, Kattakakom, Kunnakulangara, Mekara and Nadakavu. Some of the completed projects include Hill Palace Tower I, Daffodil gardens, Heera Royale and Apple a day properties. Most of the demand here is for 2 and 3 bhk apartments and that's what there is maximum supply of from builders. ANTA river valley is a prominent ongoing residential project that I think you should look into. Seems like a great place to invest.
The Kochidanushkodi road is how Tripunithra is connected to Kochi. And beyond that it extends onto NH 47 A. Ettumannur Ernakulum Road, Hill Palace Road, and Eroor road are other roads that pass through Tripunithra. Even many public transport options are also there. Like autos and buses that will take you anywhere in Kochi. There is also Tripunithra railway station just 3 km from the locality's centre. Along the Salem Kochi Kanyakumari highway, 34 km away from Tripunithra is the Cochin international airport located at Nembussadery. All in all, I think this area is in a strategic position, not too far and not too close to the heart of Kochi.
Hey ya Tripunithra is a very nice locality that is just 11 km from Kochi. It comes under the Ernakulum municipality and that's very good because the Ernakalum Residents Welfare Association does a lot to help rid the locality of civic issues and other such neighbourhood issues. It has come up very much in the last couple of years and has all good infrastructural facilities and good connectivity to other parts of the city. It also has cheaper property rates than most other places in Kochi.
