Q: What is the latest update on the roads that the PWD were supposed to work on in Edapally, Kochi? Any new developments? What is their progress on this project ?

Actually, the Edapally - Aroor NH bypass is not the only spot, even the bridges along this stretch are in horiible condition, all uneven and full of potholes.I think thats why the people under Kochi For Change (KFC) staged that protest few days ago.

Yes , but the last I heard of this stretch the District Administritator had actually threatedned them, that he was going to stop all toll booths, unless this road was fixed asap.

What is funny is that, despite the Edapally-Aroor road being in such bad shape, the NHAI continues to collect toll from the vehicles running here.

Yeah there were some major delay. But the protest wasnt over the Edapally road, it was over the delay on the Pettah-Vytilla road. But the Edapally road also needs a lot of work to be honest.

Ok so since these PWD people were delaying the whole road improvemnt project so much, I heard thatt there was some kind of protest against them. Thats the last I heard of this issue.
