Q: Might have to shift to Edapally soon enough, because of work. Wondering how the locality is in general, in terms of schools, colleges, hospitals , banks etc. Im moving with my family, so all these amenities are important to us.
Insufficient rainfall is a cause for the drought but can't the authorities think about water conservation practices like rain water harvesting? There is also so much water logging and insufficient water supply. And dont even talk about the increased traffic congestion? We still seem to be facing the same problems from 3 yrs ago
Other than that, you will be really well connected with most other places via the NH 17, the Edapally- Palarivattom Road, and the Ponevazhi Road. The Edapally railway station is just 1km away, and the airport is also close.
The water condition in Edapally last year got very bad. The authorities used to cut off water supply without even informing us before as they used to do some repair work or the other. This was very irritating because we relied on this water for drinking purposes! Yes, water tanker is there but always there'd be very little quantity.
I feel that I must tell you about LULU mall here. Its a huge mall, and if you have kids then Im sure that they will enjoy this place a lot. Nice places to shop, eat and enjoy with family and friends.
The Amrita group has a number of institutes here, one for research and development, and one for nursing. Other than those there are other hospitals too, like Al Shifa Hospital, KIMS Hospital and Surgical Center, Cochin spine Hospital etc.
Yes its a good enough locality..Good schools are there- St.Joseph’s Vidyabhavan, St.George’s High School, Al Ameen Public School etc... And other social infrastructure is also quite developed.
Im going to give you the green signal in moving to Edapally. I feel that this is a good comfortable neighbourhood, you'll have all amenities within close proximity, plus, the connectivity is pretty good here as well.
