Illegal houses in Mysore industrial areas

Q: Ive heard that a lot of residential houses are sprouting up in Mysore industrial areas. Is this true? Also, isnt that illegal? But why is this still happening? I want to know because Im thinking of investing in Mysore and I wanna understand the market completely

Visveswarnagar Industrial Suburb is bustling with housing activity more than industrial activity. We badly need the satellite towns that MUDA promised us, and SOON!

Some of the industrial areas like Visvesvarnagar, Bannimantap Industrial Area, Yadavgiri Industrial Area were outside city limits when they were constituted. But the city’s expansion has brought these areas within the MCC limits.

I spoke to a private builder and he said that land rates have skyrocketed in established residential areas of the city and is beyond the reach of the salaried class. So now they are resorting to the industrial areas.

Its because the city is expanding without control, the population is getting out of hand, and there isnt enough planning here to keep up with this surge.

Yes but you know that this is a serious violation of the zoning laws. We are not supposed to build houses on land that is meant for industrial purposes.

Its because there is a serious deficiency of residential land, that the houses are cropping up in all these industrial plots.

Yes you're right on both accounts - these kind of residential houses are springing up in mysore industrial areas, and also they are illegal.
