Q: I am planning to buy the property as the price seams to be okay and in my budget too. But they say they have E Katha and BDA approved. Has anyone done any legal Verification as when asked about the documents they say u need to book it first.
E Khata is merely the computerization of the actual Khata. It is not a new procedure by BBMP. It is useful for a person to pay property tax. A computerised version of Khata will contail all the details that have been recorded manually.You can obtain receipts when required with the help of PID number. Only those people can use E Khata whose properties have been allotted PID number.
I am shifting from Pune to Bangalore and was planning to buy an apartment in Sarjapur Road as this area will be near to my office. Is E Khata and A Khata the same or different?
E Khata is computerized khata which allow owners to make property tax online & can receive property tax receipts usins PID numbers.
Converting B Khatha land to A Khatha:
Things to keep in mind while converting B Khatha to A Khatha: 1) DC converted property should be received 2) Tax must be paid till current date 3) Betterment charges for the conversion property need to paid to BBMP.
