IMC measures to prevent dengue in Indore localities
Q: Is the city of Indore safe from the dengue fever menace? What measures and precautions are the IMC taking to prevent the spread of this disease in the localities.
Its really weird about this dengue because I heard from a reliable civic official saying that for last few years vector-borne diseases were under control, but this time the number of dengue cases have registered an increase not just in Indore, but across the country. Anyway at least right now situation is somewhat under control.
Disinfectation is just a part of it. I think you cant deal with anything unless you have proper knowledge of it. So I think its a good thing that the disinfection team will also distribute pamphlets and literature about the preventive measures relating to seasonal diseases and its symptoms.
Yes there are lots more. Rajwada, Palasia, Mhow Naka, Annapurna, Bada Ganpati area, Ramchandra Nagar, Marimata area, Chikmanglur, Imali Bazaar, Residency and near by areas are also getting disinfected. If this whole thing is carried out properly this will seriously help in getting rid of those dengue mosquitoes.
I only know about Niranjanpur, LIG, Life Line Hospital, Indira Complex getting disinfected because my friends stay in those places. What about the other places guys? Im sure there are more
Yeah, those areas include Shivaji Pratima, Pipliyahana Square, Ring Road, Bengali Crossing, Sanghi Brothers Crossing, Vijay Nagar, and AB Road. These are the ones I know of, anybody has any other idea about the other localities being sprayed with the disinfectant?
Additional municipal commissioner Surendra Kasthuria said a team was formed to deal with the disease. The civic body has identified a few places in the city where some disinfectation will be happening.
There has definitely been a rise in the numbers. In last year, only five cases of dengue were detected, while this year as many as 46 cases have been reported till date.I think there is something seriously wrong in the city and we need to take proper precautions to save ourselves.

Actually there has been a sudden increase in number of dengue cases in the city compared to last year, So the IMC has finally woken up to the challenge and formed a team on last Friday to deal with the problem
Oh yeah, there has definitely a numbero f new dengue cases in the city. I think the IMC are looking into the matter by trying to take some preventive measures.
