Hey, I think with this Western Bypass road, the real estate sector will indirectly profit too. a 4 lane road is a big thing, and maybe it is a good idea to even invest in some property in the areas surrounding this place for some future profits.

The Western Bypass is a huge project actually. It has a budget close to rupees would cost 1,125 crore. The detailed report for this project has just been sent to the government for approval, and after it has been approved, the land acqusition process will start for this project.

Hey the Bypass road is a huge 4 lane road that goes from the south of the city to the northern part of the city, and it is passing through a lot of the prominent areas in the city. So i think that not only will this decrease the traffic problem that is there in this area, but it will also development the areas further.

The state highways department has planned to construct grade separators in the junctions of Siruvani Road near Chellappagoundenpudur, Thondamuthur Road near Dhaliyur, Marudhamalai Road near Bharathiar Road and Anaikatti Road near Kanuvai, so that it gets easier for the people who are travelling to commute back.

Yes, this happened with the original plan of the Highway Department, where a lot of housing units were coming in between the construction of this Bypass road. But now, the state highways department has altered the plan and a detailed project report has been prepared recently by a private firm with the help of the highways department. And As per the new plan, few houses in the villages would be affected. This revised western bypass project won't affect the people

This project had previously faced a lot of protests from the public in the past actually. Because to construct this Bypass road, the Highway department had to demolish and break down a lot of houses and residential units, so the public was not happy with the decision.. Which is why it took as long as 2 years for this project to commence.

This will make it easier for the vehicles that will move to the state of Kerala from the city. After completion of the project, vehicles bound for Kerala from Mettupalayam and Udhagamandalam would be able to move to the neighbouring state without entering the city limits.

This area is now already within city limits after 5 years from your comment.

This Western bypass Road will be passing thorough many localities and it is a pretty big project. The road would touch Chellappagoundenpudur Road, Dhaliyur Pirivu, Bharathiar University and Kanuvai. The project would involve private land acquisition totaling 305.36 acres in 16 villages and a compensation package of 625 crore.

Yes, the Western Bypass Road project will start soon. The state highways department has prepared a detailed project report for the 32.43 km four-lane road, which would start at Sugunapuram near Madukkarai and end at Narasimmanaickanpalayam, and has sent it to the state government for final approval.

Hye, yes. Finally the Western Bypass Road that has been stalling since the past 2 years has finally been started. This long pending project is all set to take off now in a few months time. The main aim for this Bypas road is to reduce the traffic in the Northern side of the city

hey, the locality is what matters for the real estate trends to rise and fall. As far as i know, the real estate trend has been rising constantly in this part of the town as more of the residential and commercial markets are coming up and the town is witnessing some growth because of the good transportation facilities etc

Actually what you described was the initial decision for the Western Bypass. That was taken long back in 2010. Then in 2011 they decided to build a 26 km long Western Bypass from Kuniamuthur to Thudiyalur. the logic was that it would help people travelling from Madukarai, and Palakkad to Marudamalai, Thadagam, Thudiyalur and Anaikatti.

Actually initially the plan for this Rs. 2.84 cr project was to stretch it from Madukarai and Palakkad till Thudiyalur. But the residents of Thudiyalur opposed against the demolition of their homes and the project had to go in for redesign. The final plan was to extend the road till Narasimanaickenpalayam. The entire traffic bound for Ooty can be shifted to this road.

Basically you want info on the stretch of the road starting from Madukarai and through Palakkad road, Mettupalayam road, Perur road and Marudamalai road. Actually the construction work of this road is still happening, so much progress hasnt been made on the real estate front or even development-wise.

Suppose you need to commute everyday to Bharatiyar University on Marudamalai road, then buying a home on the proposed Western Bypass road is a good idea. Once construction is over, you will have a direct route to the university from your home by avoiding the city traffic and reach Marudamalai in a very short time. So you'll have to consider that aspect before investing around these localities.
