so, the government felt the need for a master plan..that's good. Over the years, the city was developing and expanding. But there was no clear planning to identify the new areas that are developed. In my opinion, many parts of Kochi are developed. But, you can also see that the western side of Kochi is still underdeveloped. That is why, there has to be a detailed and comprehensive planning in Kochi.

I think according to the new detailed town plan, you could also see the departments such as Kerala Water Authority or the KWA as well as kerala State electricity board are involved in this development action. you can see, they have to prepare projects related to the laying pipeline, cable, quantity of water, as well as power for each region.

more than thay, you know, I think the draft plan is already presented before the Corporation council in the presence of the Excise minister K. Babu. The information that I got from this council was that the master plan aims to make kochi better and up to the level of global city and also, i think there are plans to incorporate the coming new transport systems like Kochi Metro.

exactly,,,there is...one interesting thing you know about the new master plan...it is that before finalising the plan, the state is asking for the suggestions and objections of the local bodies, the five municipal corporation, and 10 panchayats as well as other stake holders. i think this would be a good move before coming up with the plan that foresees the developmental activities till 2031.

hey yeah..exactly, I also read it in the news. Further when I enquired I got to know that the master plan for the spatial management and development of Kochi city and agglomeration areas would be finalized by november this year.
