Rentals in higher level localities like Yadavagiri, Siddhartha Layout, Saraswathipuram among others have reached dizzying heights. They are quoting Rs. 10 thousand to Rs. 25,000 as of now. If you want a full furnished house around here it will easily cost you anywhere in the upwards of Rs. 25,000 and can go upto Rs. 50,000. Now Whatever happened to Mysore being a very friendly city?
I was looking to rent a house with my friend as I work in the city. I thought of negotiating on the rent because I couldn't afford that much . But was shooed away and was told that they are negotiable and that they are fixed.
One BHK rentals have been reaching the sky these days. I live around here and have noticed the sudden rise. Also in areas like Gangotri Layout, T K Layout, Sri rampura among others, the rent is somewhere between Rs. 2500 to Rs. 8000 which is actually too costly for a place like Mysore which was considered cheap.
Other areas near the All India Institute Speech and Hearing (AIISH) has also been increasing. This centre is in the Bogadi road area. Here family members of relatives live here for approximatley more the a year for treatments purposes of their wards.
So several places like Gokulam, VIjayanagara, Laksmipuram and Yadavagiri among others have been a hub for people from abroad who come here to learn yoga. This has caused a spurt in the rental and other prices around the areas as the demand is increasing.
Hello. True I heard the news too. As you already know, Mysore has been a sought after place for many foreigners that are looking for Yoga and other medical services. ALso the city offers a peaceful and hustle free ambiance which makes it a great choice for tourists from local and international arenas.
