Q: Hello, Now that the financial year is coming to and end what is the amount of taxes that the MCC is going to collect. Do you have any idea?
Latest Answer: Yes. The remaining will be used for other projects. The surplus budget projects revenue of Rs 15 crore from UGD maintenances cess, whose target the MCC has been able to meet this financial year.

Q: Hello, I heard that Mysore City Corporation is coming up with an online mechanism to give approvals to buildings. How true is this?
Latest Answer: Also. you know the township planning wing of the MCC gets close to about 50 applications every day. Hence you can expect a lot of them to mess things up. Which is why this thing will be a great initiative.

Q: So I heard that a new textile cluster will come up in Mysore. What would be the implications of this? How will the real estate improve?
Latest Answer: YOu know this was expected to happen way back in 2005. For which 250 acres of land were allotted, But it didn't work out as planned because the expected level of interest and investments weren't received.

Q: Hello, I read that realty prices are going high suddenly in Mysore. Is it true.?
Latest Answer: Rentals in higher level localities like Yadavagiri, Siddhartha Layout, Saraswathipuram among others have reached dizzying heights. They are quoting Rs. 10 thousand to Rs. 25,000 as of now. If you want a full furnished house around here it will easily cost you anywhere in the upwards of Rs. 25,000 and can go upto Rs. 50,000. Now Whatever happened to Mysore being a very friendly city?

Q: I read that Infosys will convert its Mysore campus into a smart city? Is it really happening? If so how is it?
Latest Answer: Infosys are already using several smart ways to make their campus sustainable to some extent. Radiant cooling, day lighting and retrofit strategies are being used to reduce its energy consumption.They are also supposedly working on methods to reduce the water consumption in the work place.

Q: Hello, I read somewhere that affordable housing is not really feasible in Mysore anymore owing to the rising prices. How true is this?
Latest Answer: I did some digging, and found that Mysore has FAR of just 1.25 to 1.75 while Mangalore and hubli has some where around 2.5 to 3.5 which is being more useful for them and the respective civic bodies aren't running out on losses.

Q: Hello. Is it true that MUDA is coming up with a new residential layout in the coming months? Do you know anything about it?
Latest Answer: You know farmers protested against the price that they were paid and had moved to court for better compensations. So now the land losers will be getting about 40 % of the developed land when it will be completed by the mid of 2016.
