There's also news of a film city that could come up here. The revenue department has identified 100 acres near the Nanjangud are and it has been reserved for the film city where there will be studios and different sets available.

Officials of the town and temple have also been directed to improve the road on which the annual car festival is held and construct a shed for the wooden car which has been repaired. He said a dormitory has been planned as well as two massive cloakrooms for men and women at the site.

Also, the government has come up with plan to develop a botanical garden in the 26 acre land in the guest house area on the bank of the river kabini. This work was flagged off by the chief minister Siddaramaiah.

I have heard that the revenue minister has also been looking into the government's project of developing Nanjangud town as a pilgrimage centre. He has been monitoring the work being done and whether they are being ccompleted on schedule or not.

You know, some of them have been taken over by several private people who have built several lavish houses in the lake area and now have been left with nothing as they have been cleared. I am not sure if its their fault because they will have been cheatedd.

Exactly. I heard that the minister was quite furious about this and he asked the deputy commissioner Shikha to begin with the steps to clear the canal land so that these canal works could be worked upon right now.

So the DC has completely surveryed how much of the lakes has been. They have now found out that over 313 lakes has been encroached. BUt lakes in ALanahalli, Hebbala, Bommanahalli, Karanji among others have been encroachment free and over 200 acres of land have been cleared and handed over to the zoo authorities.

All this plan of acion was thought of when deputy district admin C Shiha brought this to Srinivasa Prasad's notice. It was when the "raja kaluve" of kukkarahalli lake was being taken over by random people who had build houses along the way.

Yes. A plan like this is being prepared so that these lakes can be revived developed. The minister has strictly said that no one will be spared in this and any house caught taking over lake lands will be evicted and the houses will be demolished.

Hello. There is some action being taken or at least something on the lines has been started. So revenue and in-charge district minister Srinivasa Prasad has asked the district administration and the MUDA and MCC to clear all these encroachments.
