@Rubiya,
One of the major highlights of the draft budget is setting up of a "quality assurance cell'' which will collect feedback from people about the quality of civic services. The PCMC will also set up a corporate social responsibility cell for allowing corporates, industrial units and developers to take up development works.

@Rubiya,
The draft budget for 2015-16 has a total expenditure of Rs 2316 crore, of which Rs 903 crore will be spent on development works including water supply and sewerage. For that more paths will have to be created for revenue generation as the Local Body Tax (LBT) is likely to be replaced by the Goods and Service Tax (GST) soon.

Hi Rajiv,
PCMC commissioner Rajeev Jadhav, who presented the draft budget for 2015-16 to standing committee chairman Mahesh Landge on February 16, said that water charges there are among the lowest in the state and it's time they were hiked. Although the standing committee has rejected the proposed hike in property tax, the administration will approach the general body to consider the demand.
