Q: Hey, I want some information regarding the Vikas Nagar locality in Kochi. Is this a good locality to live in? Please give some helpful information about this locality.
You know, one more thing I would like to add to this is the facilities to travel to longer domestic or international destinations via flights also. The Cochin International Airport is at a distance of about 33 km from here and you can reach here via the NH 47.
The connectivity via the railway is also very good. You know, this locality is near to the Thrippunithura railway station. You can easily commute via railway here especially, the local trains. But for accessing the superfast and express trains, you have to go to the Ernakulam Junction South Railway station that is around 10 km from this locality.
You know, the connectivity is one of the high points in this area. The Salem-Kochi-kanyakumari highway passes near to this locality. There are also many other link roads as well as canal road that connects this locality to the main parts of the city.
The health care facilities in this region are also quite good in my opinion. There are many small clinic as well as health centres here. Not only that, some of the good hospitals are also here such as the Nair's Hospital, Mary Queen Hospital, P.S. Mission Hospital and of course the Lakeshore Hospital are quite efficient healthcare facilities present here.
Plots are also very good for investment purposes when it comes to this locality. Now the price of the plots is approximately around 5 to 9 lakhs rupees per cent of land. This is affordable when you take into account the proximity of this region from Kochi city. In nearby time itself, the price will be double fold here.
Actually, this region is a very good place for living in. There are some very good houses and facilities are also there. There are certain colonies here with tight security guards and all. There are some good schools also in the nearby areas such as Gregorian Public school, Sam Kids International Pre-school, Chambakkara School, Ambady Ammu Amma Memorial Chinmaya Vidyalaya. etc are some of the very good schools in this locality.
Exactly…recently, I came to know about the price of the houses in this region. Normally, the price of a house with around 2000 to 4000 square feet is starting from rs. 25 lakhs to rs. 50 lakhs. The per square feet price is around rs. 2500 to rs. 4000 per square feet.
Sure, I think that the prices of the property in this region is rising. You know, normally, the region comprises of Individual houses only. There you can also see some plots also. The apartments are very less in this part of Kochi. On the whole, I think that this area will see a tremendous development in a couple of years.
Hi Ayesha, I think that the area of Vikas Nagar is a very good residential area near to the city limits of Kochi. It is very near to some of the posh residential localities such as Thrippunithura, Kundannoor, and Maradu, actually.
