Q: Hello, I wanted to know about the progress being made about the highway widening project around the Edapally area? What do you think is being done right now?

Exactly. This is why the NHAI is planning to work on this and make this beeter. They will hold similar drives with the help of the police and they will work on clearing the way for the widening project.

You know what when public works department (NH division) had informed the NHAI regarding the encroached structures on the highway, but to no avail as the local shop owners and building shooed them away saying that they were not the concerned authority.

The NHAI had acquired around 45 m of land for the four laning of national highway. Encroachments are a huge hindrance as they mushroom all over the place and can only be curbed by such regular drives so they are busy getting rid of it.

Yes. I live nearby. I found out that the NH 47 stretch near the Edapally area if being worked upon as a buildings are taken apart on both the sides to work upon a 4 lane highway. Shops and other eateries were also removed from here.

Hello, there is some strong action being taken by the NHAI along with the police. They are on a joint drive, and are destroying buildings and hoarding that have been encroaching illegally. So expect some heavy work there.
