Q: I am planning to buy a ready to move apartment in Kondapur. Should I have to pay service tax or the builder?

By Registration of transaction of immovable property will become permanent public record. This is a notice to the general public. Those getting transfer of property should verify whether such property has been previously encumbered. According to Transfer of Property Act right, title or interest can be acquired only if the deed is registered

I have booked a flat in a under construction property in Hyderabad. The basic value of the flat is Rs 45 lakhs . Is it required to pay service tax , registration fees and vat for amenities also . My builder says it is required ?

Service tax is applicable in under construction project so you need to pay services as well.Thus buyer have to pay ST+Registration+ stamp duty in addition to basic price of the property. This tax is charged by the state govt...

what is the registration charges as on date.I come to know that registration charges is going to be raised. please clarify in this regards..

Services tax is applicable only in under construction project. so in your case you did not pay any service tax to the builder.
