The purple line from Byappanahalli to Mysuru Road has seen so many delays. Hope they will be able to begin commercial operations on the purple line at the earliest

Yes, there was delayed because of complex tunneling work in underground sections on the purple line. BMRCL is hoping that they will begin commercial operations on the purple line (Byappanahalli-Mysuru Road) by February.

According to sources, BMRCL is all set to start its Mysuru Road-Magadi Road Metro train operations by this month.

The BMRCL will start the trial run in the 4.8-km underground section from Magadi Road to the cricket stadium in the last week of this month. The 18-km east-west corridor will be operational after three months of trial run.
