11 builders of Noida fined for NGT norm violations

Q: The Noida Authority fined 11 builders Rs 50000 each after they were found violating construction norms of the National Green Tribunal.

Hi Supratim,
Actually, the operator was fined for not keeping the street of the city clean after officials began extensive survey. All the project engineers heading the 10 work circles in Noida have been asked to conduct inspections of their respective areas.

As per the report, they are conducting inspections of the construction sites and have been asked to report if any builder or developer is misusing groundwater for construction purposes will be punished.

These developers were violating the construction norms and spreading pollution and dust all over the city. Saumya Srivastava, deputy CEO, Noida Authority has told that no one will be forgiven and strict action will be taken against any real estate developer found to be disobeying NGT norms.

Noida authority has also warned the builders of further strict action if they continue to violate construction norms determined by the green court and levied a fine of Rs.1 lakh on the contractor operating the sweeping machine of Noida.
