I am explaining you more about this issue. Actually, the case was about providing less carpet area than promised, not following development control rules, deviation from sanctioned plan, sale of common area, non-formation of apartment association, sale of common area along with ground floor flat despite getting notice from the NMC for enclosure, which was done after getting the completion certificate and giving false declaration to NMC

And you will be more shocked to know that justice came in favor of the flat owners. After a period of 2 yrs and 3-months of fighting the case, the court issued orders in flat owner's favour. The construction group has been asked to pay Rs 5.05 lakh compensation for less carpet area, along with 12% interest until refund is given and Rs 4 lakh towards parking charges, and deficiencies of Rs 10000 for mental harassment and Rs 5000 as cost expend.

Now developer's are saying that they do not disrespect the court. But they also know that the consumers levelled false allegations. We have only done what is done on a regular basis. Now they are going for appeal in the court.

The district consumer court in Nashik has ordered a builder to pay compensation ranging from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 19 lakh to each of the complainants for violations that came to light after the construction of the building.

Yes, this news is in lime light these days...the flat buyers had alleged that they were charged as per the plan approved by the civic body but the plan was not followed. They procured the documents from the Nashik Municipal Corporation through RTI and dragged the builder to the court.
