I am planning to book a 2BHK in Legacy Twin Arcs, Punawale

Q: Does anyone have any idea about this project , how it would be after 2 years, heard that garbage depot is about to come in Punawale, how it will impact this location (twin arcs Sr. No 45)?

Lets assume the worst case, and suppose GD is coming to Punawale. Does anyone has any view on how much surrounding area will be impacted by this GD ? I could see that Twin arcs project is 3-4 Km away from proposed GD, will it be still impacted ? Any thought would be much appreciated ..

I am agree with Keshav....
Moshi has already garbage depot and Punawale one is planned. Now Its very difficult to setup GD in Punawale since Forest land haven´t been available to PCMC, Opposed from surrounding villages eg Punawale, Marunji, Tathwade and Hinjewadi. Peoples from these area has jammed the highway last year to protest. GD planned place is very near to Hinjewadi phase 2. You can see number of projects lined up in that area, i think 12-15 projects are going on. Govt has already started looking big place for GD somewhere else, around 250 acres. This is the right time to buy in Punawale with big risk. But still i will suggest take your wise decision as per your need and risk capacity.

Yes, and this garbage depot would be around 1km from the Ravet bund, from where the PCMC and the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation draw water to supply to the entire city. Besides, large trees would have to be cut to set up the garbage depot.

Hi Nikhil,
Its not a Garbage Depot, it’s a proposed SWMP (Solid waste Management Plant). There are existing SWMP in Koregaon park, Aundh, VIman Nagar, also one is coming up in balewadi. So, I believe people have not stopped living in these areas, in fact these are amongst the most developed & preferred residential areas of Pune. Since you have already done some research on the Proposed SWMP of Punawale, I would suggest to do get a feedback on the above mentioned location SWMP also, in terms of smell in vicinity, trucks movement, & open land of Garbage dumping.

Hi Mahesh!!
Punawale is the most upcoming and exponentially developing area in PCMC. It has got numerous benefits as a hottest real estate development. Some of the benefits are Proximity to Hinjewadi, within the limits of PCMC, neighbouring developed locations such as Ravet, Nigdi-Pradhikaran, Chinchwad and the list goes on. Punawale is directly linked to Mumbai Pune Bangalore Highway. Builders like Sidhashila Group, Pharande Spaces, DSK Developers, Goyal Properties have their landmark projects in the same location. So, it is a good location for better future appreciation.
