Q:We bought a flat on the 4th floor in a single building. We were given possession in 2006. It had a space for lift installation and the builder had promised and it was mentioned in the contract as well that lift will be installed but till date it has not been. My parents are getting older and its not getting easier for them to climb the stairs on a regular basis. The builder has also failed to complete the mutation which makes it difficult for us to even sell the flat and look for other properties. Kindly suggest.
