We had selected Hiranandani Builders because of their reputation for quality construction, and so we are naturally upset to learn that our so-called `quality-conscious’ builder has been using sub-standard, inferior materials for construction. Equally upsetting is the indifference of the managing committee which is supposed to protect our interests. We demand an explanation for the below-mentioned points: 1) The use of poor quality steel as pointed out in a letter by an M.C. member. 2) The use of poor quality wood for door-frames and windows. 3) The exorbitant rate quoted by the builder as the price for extra area to be purchased by residents.
