We write this letter in shock and dismay. We had selected Hiranandani Builders because of their reputation for quality construction, and so we are naturally upset to learn that our so-called `quality-conscious’ builder has been using sub-standard, inferior materials for construction.
Equally upsetting is the indifference of the managing committee which is supposed to protect our interests. We demand an explanation for the below-mentioned points:
1) The use of poor quality steel as pointed out in a letter by an M.C. member.
2) The use of poor quality wood for door-frames and windows.
3) The exorbitant rate quoted by the builder as the price for extra area to be purchased by residents. The rate quoted is inflated, preposterous and unbelievable as the land still belongs to the society.
4) We would like to have the builder’s permission to inspect the sample flat under construction. This inspection will be done b
