I feel that its due to inadequate infrastructure. In fact right after the second rainfall of this monsoon, the power went out in the evening and it only came back next day morning. Its harassing because the residents have to suffer through without power through all the seasons. During summer there are powercuts on the name of pre-monsoon maintenance work, but still the power goes off almost everytime it rains. So i don’t know what maintenance they are doing actually.

From what I know about the locality of Mahalakshmi Nagar, malaria is now becoming commonplace and this could get much more dangerous than it already is. The drainage even overflows on the road sometimes, and when IMC officers were approached they seemed incapable of resolving the problem. Living in this area is becoming very troublesome for almost everyone, and corporation is of no use in helping out.
