Khata transfer is needed if a property is transferred from one person to another for reasons like gift deed, got the property from will, sale of property or death of the property owner, etc. The procedure for Khata transfer is same as registering a property and the documents needed are 1. title deed, 2. paid tax receipts and khata details, 3. improvement charges receipt, 4. national saving certificates for Rs 200, 5.
