Fire safety in projects.

Q: It is found that many of the real estate projects are not following the fire safety norms. What will happen to those structures who failed to abide by the norms of the fire safety departments?

What about situation in chennai? Are old multi storey residential projects exempted from Fire protection inspection and issue or renewal of Licences?

The fire safety department has planned to file cases on those who have not followed the fire safety norms in their projects. They will be put in jail or charged huge fines.
