Query on property.

Q: I have a query on Property that i am planning to buy. It is residential house in Bangalore. The Owner of the house has purchased the land in his mother's name(must be over 65 years oldnow) in the year 2000 and constructed a three floor house in 2010. The Owner is married and has two young kids( minor). I am not sure of his current marital status as his wife is not staying with him. I am not sure if they are legally seperated. My question is does the grandchildren or the owner's wife have any legal rights over the property now or after the kids grow up.

I do not think the wife have any right over the property. It depends upon the owner to whom he is transferring the property.
