Status of Haralur Road widening

Q: I just booked a 4 BHK in Purva Skywood. Does anyone know the status of Haralur Road widening? I hear that it will become a 80ft road but I see no action happening in that regard. Does anyone know?

There is a protest from the local villagers not to widen the road... so there is a delay. THe marking is done long time back and moreover it is under the CDP2015 plan. Surely the road will get widen before 2015...

I dont think it will happen. Not only the village, many layouts, apartments and houses have raised their concern on road widening, because they are loosing their land. Marking was done during 2010. I dont see any progress for past 3 years.

The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike will widen eight major roads in the City but there is no talks about the Haraluru Road widening.

Roads that will be widen in the city are as follows:

1) Bellary Road: From Mekhri Circle till BDA junction up to Palace Cross Road.
2) Jayamahal Road: From Mekhri Circle till Cantonment railway station, Palace Road.
3) Sarjapur Road: From ORR till Dommasandra.
4) Bannerghatta Road: From JD Mara Junction till Nice Road
5) Dinnur Road: From Sanjaynagar Main Road to Ambedkar Medical College
6) Dr Ambedkar Road: From MM Road (in Frazer Town) till ORR.
7) Subroto Mukherjee Road will also be widened
8) Varthur Road up to Sarjapur road via Gunjur.

Hi Rajkumar, I agree with you BBMP was suppose to widen the road but unfortunately there is no progress and active about the Haralur Road widening.

I’m also having a similar concern, I liked the project only because the road is connecting Sarjapur ring road with e-city. I believe once the projects will be done and people will start living, the traffic will increase on the small road. And for this I need info to confirm if the road is widening in the near future.
