The delay has escalated the cost of the project in many ways. From Rs 550 crore in 2005, it escalated to Rs 5,800 crore in 2012. Now, BDA is planning to revised the land acquisition rates which will again go up as the land prices have increased in the ratio of 1:3. :( :(

According to sources, the project should be put to an end as it has more than five years and the BDA was unable to acquire land or start anything in this process.

People are saying that the denotifications, cancellations, notifications, and ongoing land litigation have left the whole project hanging for over six years now. Bangalore development Authority which is executing the project don't have any clarity which is executing the project and is seeking funds from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to lay the 65-km road under Phase-1 from Tumkur Road to Electronic City.

People residing outskirt of Bangalore especially in areas surrounding the proposed Peripheral Ring Road and farmers are fed up with the frequent changes in the PRR plan because there is no confirmation on the properties they are going to acquire for the mega infrastructure project as the list of such properties is being often altered.
