Friendly Leisure Home

Q: I want to buy a holiday home in Mysore; a big part of my extended family lives there and we keep going over for family holidays. I hear that the Friendly Leisure Homes are a good project. What is the date of possession for these homes? I want to buy a 2BHK, because I have a nuclear family, it’s just me and my wife and our young son. Please advice.

Hey, to invest in a holiday home, you need to keep in mind that this is not going to be your permanent family home. So, you need to plan your budget accordingly since you shouldn’t spend as much money as you would on a permanent family home. The Friendly Leisure Holiday Homes start selling at Rs 65 lacs, and the price might go up even higher depending on your requirement. The best thing will be to let it out to other holiday-goers, when you’re not using it.

Hey, good call on the Friendly Leisure Homes. The standards of these holiday homes are pretty high. There are different types of plots available – 40x50, 40x60, 50x60, 68x60, 60x60, 45x60, etc. The villas available under this project are 2 and 3 BHKs. The type A villas are 40x60, have three bedrooms and have a total built-up area of 1490 sq. ft. The type B villas are 40x50 in dimension, have two bedrooms and have a total built-up area of 1090 square feet.

Hey, I think it is quite a good idea to invest in a holiday home in Mysore. Many people throughout India come to spend their holidays in Mysore, as it is still a big tourist spot. So even if you are not using the house, you can rent it out to someone to use. The Friendly Leisure Home is not exactly in Mysore, but on the outskirts, in Srirangapatnam. It is near the Srirangapatnam circle and is close to the Mahavir Bhagwan Eye Hospital and the Country Club.

The Friendly Leisure Homes are basically holiday homes, where you can spend a part of your year, to get away from the burdens of your everyday life. The constructions of these homes are currently on their last leg and the date of possession has been announced as August 2014. If you’re genuinely interested, I’d advise you to get a move on as these properties are in demand and are selling out quite fast.
