Q: Hey there all. I’m new to Kochi, and I have been struggling to find a neighbourhood for me to live in. What do you people think about Aluva? How are the facilities, connectivity, etc. in this area?
yeah, for shopping in this area, there is a good town in Aluva, where you can get all types of commercial and industrial goods. Its a nice town with some good shopping areas. If you want to access some world class malls and all, then you can also easily commute to and from some good malls like Lulu mall, Oberon Mall, and Gold Souk Grande.
Hey, see, there is a railway station in Aluva, It can take you to any place in Kochi. There are trains that can take you to nearby places in Kochi too. Moreover, in Aluva you can see that near to the railway station, there is a KSRTC transport stand which has inter district buses as well as kochi city buses running. The connectivity is a high point there.
I think the situation got very bad because the water levels had receded in the Periyar river like never before. It was very sad for the residents because everyday tasks come to a stand still when there's no water. But anyway, the situation is okay now but still precaution must be taken just in case!
Actually Aluva is facing acute water shortage because of the high level of salinity in the Periyar river that pumped water into the locality. They tried adding more water from the Bhoothathankettu dam into this river so that there would also be more water content and water supply but it didnt help.
The prices in Aluva are actually on an upward bend as of now. If you had invested say, a year or two back, you would have probably made a good profit by now. The average property price per square feet in Aluva was slightly more than and also lesser than Rs. 3,000 the last year and the year before that. This year, the property prices in Aluav seem to be hovering at around Rs. 3,400 per square feet. While the more expensive properties price themselves at around Rs. 3,700 per square feet, the less pricey properties cost around Rs. 3,200.
Hello there. So, you’ve zeroed in on Aluva. I’m just curious about what made you choose it in the first place. I live in Kalamassery, which as you may already know, is nearby. I’m not saying that there’s anything wrong with Aluva, instead, I’m just looking at how best a locality in Kochi would fit your requirements. If you’re someone who works in one of the many manufacturing companies in Auva, then this locality will be quite to your taste. The connectivity to this locality is excellent. It’s well-connected by road, rail, and also water. The Kochi International Airport happens to be 17 km away, and can be easily reached within an hour by car.
Hi! First of all, let me welcome you to Kochi! I’ve been living here since quite some time, close to 9 years to be accurate. I can tell you from first-hand experience that Kochi has massively developed over the past year years. A number of localities have become newly developed, and even more are being urbanised quickly. Aluva, the locality that you mention, is actually one of the more developed localities in Kochi. I don’t know if you know, but the whole of Aluva is situated on the banks of the River Periyar. While Ernakulam is considered to be the financial capital of Kerala as a whole, Aluva is likewise known as the industrial epicentre of Kochi.
