Civic issues in Malkajgiri

Q: Hi people, I’m thinking of investing in a 2 BHK apartment or an individual house. My budget is less than 35 lacs, so I have narrowed down my locality to Malkajgiri as I currently live only 7 Kms away from here. Before I invest here, I’d like to know about any day to day civic issues in this area.

I agree with the problems stated above. I live in Malkajgiri and I have been through these problems. But, I guess area like Malkajgiri developed too quickly with a little less planning which are causing these problems. A lot development is happening around the area, some supermarkets and complexes are coming up. Also, few gated communities (eg. Vasavi Township) are coming up, which will definitely result in better development of the area. the area lacks parks which I think should be something the municipality should look into. I would suggest that you do good research and find apartments or houses that are not in the innermost streets, this way you could avoid bad roads and cramped streets at least.

Hey, I’d be a little more upfront about Malkajgiri as a locality. Malkajgiri is lively and full of culture with lot of temples and festival activities around. There are some areas in the locality which are quiet and peaceful while some are bustling with everyday chores and similar buzz. If you do good research you can definitely find a peaceful spot to live in. But, two things that are very prominent and might act as inconvenience in your day to day life here is the growing water scarcity in summers and the neglected broken roads. Apart from these two problems, I think Malkajgiri stands as a good area for small budget investments and can definitely offer you a good suburban living. Good luck.

Hey, I see that you have done your research per your budget. You will find many 2 BHk options in Malkajgiri within your budget. infact you will few lacs to spare as well. The benefit of investing in this area is that you will have a bustling life of a suburb around you, with local markets and amenities in abundance. But, you know sometimes these things can cause day to day civic disturbances like broken roads, sewage problems, cramped walkway etc. And to be honest with you like other typical suburbs in India, Malkajgiri is no exception to these problems. You will find potholes on the road, few areas are swamped with local markets making it a little difficult for transit etc.
