Transport on Ujjain Road

Q: I just got into a college on Ujjain road but I would need to frequently keep visiting Indore. Can somebody tell me about the transportation facilities available in Mhow?

Hey the cheapest way would be to take a pass for the Ujjain-Indore passenger train. I think the price is arund 85 rupees, and i think that is pretty economical. The Ujn Ak F Pass (52973) is the only option if u want to use the railways.

The trains are a pretty good option but I'd also suggest the bus. You can just go to the main Ujjain road bus stop and buy tickets directly. There's a bus that leaves every half hour or so. The buses usually get there on time without any delays. There are AC and non AC buses available. Don't take a cab for sure. They'll rob you blind.

I've actually found it quite difficult to get to Indore from Ujjain Road. The trains are nice, but they go up and down only once a day and at the same time everyday. Sometimes it becomes inconvenient especially when you really have to get to Indore asap.Btw I also was a student in Ujjain :P

Mhow is quite well developed when it comes to transport and communication. There will definitely be cabs everywhere but please don't rely on an auto. Mhow is about 23 kms from Indore and Ujjain road should be about 15 kms away. Trains are the most reliable way to travel. Have you heard of the Indore-Ujjain passenger trains? There's one every morning at 8 15 and another in the evening at 6. You'd reach Indore in 2 hours. It has 5 stops, Indore Manglia and Ujjain Vikram nagar are 2 stops that you should remember. So it's pretty convenient for you to get to Indore :)
