Q: I recenetly read that a lot of new localities are being developed in Mysore by a host of infrastructure projects and developmental activities. Can someone tell me more about this? What localities are they? What sort of upcoming projects are underway?
Honestly, according to me I don't Mysore is ready for so much expansion just as yet. Definitely it will put a strain on infrastructure facilities. People will end up having to compromise a lot. Banks and everything will become costly.
You are right. Even now itself MUDA is finding difficulty in providing a steady water supply to the exisiting 65 wards of MCC. Service sector may benefit, yes. But civic authorities will find it diffcult to do all the clean up works and increasing development of infrastructure.
Hunsur along the Mysore - Madikeri road has a number of residential projects and integrated townships coming up. Not to mention that 18 hole golf course and major resort.
MUDA in its master plan is looking to bring the outskirt areas of Mysore closer to Mysore by initating all these developmental changes. Hunsur road has booming eal estate potential as of now because of this reason.
The peripheral areas of Mysore are now being really focused on by MUDA for development activities. places like Hootagalli, Keergalli, Alanahalli, and Bogadi now face high demand for residential property because a lot of commercial establishments are coming up around these areas.
Hey so based on the Master plan of 2031 for Mysore, Nanjagud is definitely very much part of mysore and hence a lot of developmental projects are happening along the mysore nanjagud corridor. Which is much needed to make Mysore a bigger city.
