Demolition of shops in Bandipalya - J P Nagar area
Q: Hey. A few months ago some shops were cleared and a huge land was acquired by the Mysore authorities in Bandipalya highway. I wanted to start a workshop. Any details?
Nearly lakhs of rupees worth materials were demolished. I am speculative though. The government giving reminders on time to these people is a possibility. But the elections could also have played a role. The revenue officers change and then orders are carried out.
The demolition was carried out by the Tahsildar of the region with police force. The tenants were furious and were complaining afterwards. I think there was a heavy monetary loss. After all shops you see.
See, coming to the point. If you want to build a workshop I recommend not choosing this area. It is pretty sensitive now. Even shopkeepers in JP nagar were worried once they saw what the government did.
No no! They were warned alright. The officials were saying that these shops were rented out by some transport offices and garages on the highway, and they were issued reminders to vacate.
It was in the news. The district administration actually encroached nearly 1.5 acres of land in te Bandipalya region. Such a vast area and people were not warned I guess.
oh! Yeah, it came on tv I guess. I think it was two to three months ago. I think it was on the Mysore Nanjangud highway. It was government land you know. So there was a lot of commotion when this happened.
Hello. Bandipalya is right next to JP nagar in case you didnt know. The Kozhikode Kollegal highway separates the two regions And this shop removal happened somewhere there only..
