All major roads have been hit by waterlogging. The water from these roads used to be diverted to the Valankulam lake. But since that lake got cleaned recently, that is being avoided as of now

Yeah they did, but as the roads were made of concrete and tar was laid on it during repair works, the road's condition hasn't changed much.

My friend lives there, and he told me that they have been complaining to the councillor on the bad condition of the roads for many years now, but nothing happened.

Even more than safety of the riders, we are bothered about hygiene as water from the open drains and sewage had settled on the roads. We are afraid diseases might spread because of this.

I know it was so bad. Generally it just takes me just 2 minutes everyday to reach the bus stop. But because the roads in my area had overflowing drains and dirt strewn everywhere, it took me more than 10 minutes to reach the bus stand
