Hello there :) I have a family friend who stays in R S Puram, and from what I've heard (and seen for myself!) it's pretty much a well developed area. Many of the city's main government offices, commercial centers, tourist and cultural spots, schools and colleges, IT companies, restaurants, shopping malls etc are located in R S Puram. The State Electricity Board and Water Resources have offices here too. A lot of apartments have been constructed in the locality, and many more are under construction. There is also a huge floating population in here, because of all the commercial space. The public transport system here consists of buses, autos and trains which have different stations/stands in the area. DB Road is the primary centre, with Mettupalayam Road towards the East and Thadagam Road towards the West.
R S Puram is a well known neighbourhood in Coimbatore city. It is not only a residential are, but also a commercial hub. It/mobile companies, famous schools, deemed universities, hospitals, restaurants, shopping complexes, cultural and tourist centers etc can all be found here. The TNEB and Water Resources Organization have offices here as well. R S Puram has a carefully planned layout, DB Road is the main centre which leads out to Thadagam Road on the West and Mettupalayam Road on the East. Residential projects are shooting up every other day literally, partly due to the floating population increase in the area. The transport system in R S Puram is also pretty good considering theya have quiet a few bus/railway stations in and around the area, also auto stands.
Hey! As you may know, apart from being a residential area, R S Puram is also a well established commercial hub in Coimbatore. It is home to multi-national commercial establishments, government offices, reputed educational instituitions, IT and mobile companies, tourist spots, cultural centers, restaurants and shopping complexes. A well planned area with DB Road as spot on centre, it is situated between Mettupalayam Road (east) and Thadagam Road (west). Public transport is not a problem here, as there are around 20 bus stations and 3 railways stations in proximity of R S Puram, other than the numerous rickshaw stands. There are also plenty of residential projects (completedand upcoming) owingto thelarge floating population in the locality.
