But, i think, this issue will be resolved if we make the four lane into a six lane. It will reduce the travel distance between the two major cities of Karnataka. I think there is a decision by the government on this regard.

I totally dont agree with you...some years ago, there was only two lane. That was converted into four lanes. They said that the travel time will becomes lesser. but, did it become less? no. So, converting the four lane into six lanes will only be like the previous time. not much difference will be there. but, as MGP says, making a flyover that bypasses the towns like Mandya, Maddur, Channapatana, Ramanagara, Biddadi and Kengeri would be a good choice.

Poor connectivity will always be a major problem to industrial growth, friends. And this means lesser number of investments. The reason for this is that if the connectivity is not good, then the cost of transportation of raw materials will increase, there will not be timely delivery of raw materials as well as the finished products within the said period.

Hey...better than this i agree to the suggestion by the Mahajana Tourism Development Institute director to make an elevated highway in addition to the existing highway. He says that this will allow passengers to cover dist. btwn the 2 cities in an hour!! this is really cool!!

Yeah, this will help the investments a lot. if i talk from my perspective, the connectivity development should not just be confined to bangalore and Mysore alone. There should be a greater connectivity to other major cities like Mumbai, chennai, hyderabad, Coimbatore as well as Kochi from here.

exactly, the MGP has actually called for another development. This is the elevated road project. I think this would be a good idea when it comes to some vulnerable points where the farmers who tend to protest blocks the traffic.

truely said, stakeholders are very much concerned about all these issues. I think there should be a better way to resolve these things. Mysore grahakara parishat is now doing a good job here. They have proposed to take up the issue of this traffic hold-ups and do something to control it.

Hey, its not just in the case of air or rail guys, the road transportation is a disaster here. there is a distance of 139 km between bangalore & mysore. This distance is filled with hundreds of unscientifically created bumps. Along with all these things, see, the traffic jams are happening very frequently. Sometimes, i too felt that the road journey is too much exhausting. this will surely impact the investments coming to the city.

Yeah, there are great connectivity issues in all ways, ie. via air as well as rail. The air connectivity has been in great problem because the solitary flight that connected Mysore with Bangalore and Chennai has been withdrawn. The high speed train service is also not very likely to happen in near future because there is a lot of curvature in the track.

hello there, actually this has already impaired the image of Mysore as an investment destination. You know that Mysore was the second most sought after destination in Karnataka for foreign investments after Bangalore. But, now there are connectivity issues in recent times.
