Q: Hello, My Father is retiring and my parents want to move back to Malumchampatti, as some relatives live there. I need a fair idea about the locality, please give me some details
But I think mostly plots are there for sale in Malumichampatti, no? yeah and the asking square foot price seems to be in the range of Rs 1000 to 1500 per square foot. Your parents can even get 2bhk apartments for rent. The monthly rental is around Rs 10 to 11 per square ft. So that means that for an average 650 sq ft house, they will have to pay a monthly rent of around Rs 7000
As such there arent that many apartment projects here. There is this one called Annai Aathika, which offers 1 or 2bhk, and has been available to move in since July of this year. The 1bhks here are priced around Rs 11 lacs and the 2 bhks are for 24 lacs.
The NH47 or the Salem- Kochi- Kanyakumari highway also passes by very close, to the north of this locality, and just on the other side of this highway you can find a cluster of general stores and grocery shops, like Suguna Stores, Nilgiri's, Aishwarya stores, etc.
I think you can judge a place quite a bit based on the healthcare facilities provided thee. Also since your parents would be living here you should be aware of all the hospitals, clinics and nursing homes that are nearby the area. There is one hospital, known as the Ambhal hospital present in Malumchampatti, along with two popular clinics - Sai Sree clinic and Nachimuthu Clinic.
Hey apart from those colleges, there are schools here as well. For example the Govt high school and the Selvam educational institution are here. So is the PGM Matric Higher Secondary School and the nearby Okkilapalayam Primary School.
There are a few educational insititutions in here, but the most well known ones here are the colleges under the Hindusthan Group of Insititutions, of which the Hindusthan Institute of Technology is one major college. The area around these colleges are mostly for students and teachers, and a sort of a tiny university colony has grown up around there
Actually the junction point of the two major roads of the area - The NH 209 and the Bodipalayam Road sees the most commercial activity around here. There are few eateries right on this spot, like Ali Dhaba, Cheran Restaurant, Shoba Tifin Centre, and Goundar Mess.
Okay so you need not worry, this is one of the prominent localities of southern Coimbatore. Its a little on the outskirts, just enough to be removed from the unnecessary noise pollution of the city, but at the same time quite well connected.
Also excellent connectivity here. The NH 209 passes through the region and you can take it to either go into the city of Coimbatore, or further away from it. In fact even the golf club road or the Bodipalayam road also passes through this region.
