The zilla panchayat president Pushpa Jayapura has been actively looking into this. You know about 105 lakhs which all have been allotted to the maintenance of the remaining borewells which are under working conditions.
Did you know there are more than 1,835 borewells in the Mysore district. But 15 have dried up completely while 159 among the 1,635 rural water supply schemes have stopped working. Which means there is barely less then 200 of them working properly.
About Rs 19.50-crore worth project for drinking water project to extend Kapila water to 21 villages in Jayapura hobli in Mysuru taluk will be launched in a week. Water is being supplied to the villages on an experimental basis.
