Q: Hi, I am interested to know more about the progress of the Outer Ring Road in Mysore. If any one knows in detail about the project, please tell me more about that. When will it be over?
hey, did you know, at one point of time recently, the work for the storm water drain had even stopped. I think that the mayor has asked the official machinery to speed up the work. I think that the project is crucial to stop flooding of low-lying areas in Narasimharaja constituency.
Oh yeah.. I also came to know about this construction of underpass. The under-construction underpass is expected to be completed in two months while the construction of the road is planned to be completed by April end.
I think that the MUDA has taken possession of eight acres of land inside the market yard. Here they are planning to build an underpass to allow the free flow of trucks given that the market yard will be bifurcated.
The outer ring road will be a six laned project. As part of this project, Rs. 239 crores have been allocated for this project for the upgradation plan. In the APMC yard in Bandipalya, the MUDA is building the 800 meters of six lane expressway to complete the eastern alignment.
Now, you know, the project is going in a slower pace. This hampering of the work is especially to build the storm water drain. I think that the project is likely to be over by around 2 months time. That is calculated to be around towards the end of May.
Hey, recently, I came to know more about the project. I think that the officials and the elected representatives and the mayor R Lingappa visited the project recently. The project is actually taken up by the the JNNURM. They have asked them to complete the project within the deadline.
