You know, a German company has already come forward, expressing interest in the waste management project. If that is the case, we will be using the German technology provided by the company. We also hope to solve the incessant traffic bottlenecks in the city by making sure that maximum vehicles do not enter the town.

Cleaning culverts in Aluva area so as to send purified water to other areas is another project that gets emphasis in the report presented by WS Atkins. Federal Bank, as a part of its CSR activities, will provide the fund for the realisation of the project.

Yeah..that's true, you know, earlier, there was a treatment plant near the Advaithashramam, which we have reconstructed. With the proper usage of the plant, we will soon be able to purify the waste water.

There are three big canals originating in the region, which joins up with the Periyar river at different points. These canals are the main source of waste dumping into the Periyar river. The initial plan is to purify these canals.

I think that the project report has been prepared by UK-based WS Atkins and the ‘Urban 2020’ plan created in association with the state government. According to this plan, they would address the issues related to proper waste disposal, cleaning up of culverts and intermittent traffic blocks.

Yeah..this is a good development for Aluva area. You know, the development is with an aim of developing Aluva into a hub of developmental activities. This is actually undertaken by the Aluva Municipality in conjunction with the state government and the british high commission.
