THat's not just it. I think I know why they delayed giving the land. They were actually trying to get as much money as they could out of this. When they realised that did not quite go their way. They knew it was over and so submitted the land.

I think I know why the company let the land go. I mean they were really stretching their luck as they denied giving away the land. Now, had the talk failed again. They would have been forcefully evicted to get the land.

You know the KMRL had had two rounds of talk with the owners of the textile. While the first one failed, the government asked them to old a second round of talks which too failed due to the same reasons.

Did you know how long thing procedure of land acquisiton took for this particulat land. It took more then 2 years and it actually brought down the progress by a little bit as the company was not ready to relent on their stand.

You know that this land is very important, right,? The construction of the 800 pillars from the 810 planned along the Aluva-MG Road stretch has already been completed, according to Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) the rest of them must be in the textile land.

So the discussion is about the acquisition,. I have something to tell. You know there are instances where the corporation and other civic bodies have gone on an acquiring spree for no apparent reason which they would probably sell to make money for themselves.

The deputy collector of the Kochi area visited the CEO of the Seematti Textile companay and had a discussion with her about the metro project . Here name was Beena Kannan. She then agreed to let go of the land.

Originally, the KMRL was supposed to work on the acquisition fo the land. But as the tension grew it gave the revenue department the permission to go for it which the revenue officlas did not do right away. They waited to act on the government's directive.

THat is a good thing. The project can now go on to be done by schedule then. The district collector received the required permission from the state government to take over land from the textile group and take actions if they refuse to let go.

The Kochi metro has finally stepped up to take over the land that was needed for the meto works in Seematti. There was a lot of opposition from the textile firm as this had been stopping the progress of the metro project.

Hello, so that means the textile company has given up the land?
