Why possession needs to await registration?

Q: Provident has indicated that possession can be given only after registration after obtaining E khatha which is a long process. Why not give possession now?

Hey Sankara, Will the project get completed on time, it was told to me that the project will be completed by third quarter of 2016?

Hello Mangal - Mine is in 6D and was told that possession would be given in January 2016 and now they have started possession after registration whose date is not known.

I agree, the builder can do the registrations and give the possession. Khata and Occupancy Certificate can be provided later. But again it differs from builder to builder. You can talk to the builder once and clarify about the possession date.

Hello Niketan - Understand registration can happen only after sometime, the date of which is not known to them clearly. Meanwhile we are asking for possession to start the interiors and other works.
