First, check your Allotment Letter. The letter of allotment clearly provides that Cost of external electrification is not included in the basic price and shall be payable by the allottee. The allotment letter also provides that Allottee agrees to pay Govt. or Local body rates, cesses, charges, ground rent, taxes of all and any kind by whatever name called. Therefore, at this stage, you cannot refuse to make the payment of the charges with regard to the aforesaid items as you have agreed to the terms contained in the allotment letter issued to you. If this clause is mentioned then you have to pay otherwise you can file a suit in the consumer court.

Hi Roshan,
You should raise the issue at the society meeting. Write a mail to all the owners of that society and call for a general meeting then raise the issue and take the grant of all the society members on this matter. If you are only facing the issue then you will have to take the advice of a legal expert in this matter.

Yes, i am agreed with Bhaskar. You should mail to all society members and ask for a society meeting. There you can raise your issue with the secretary along with the confidence of society members. If secretory is a promise you to discuss with the builder then wait for their action. If you are not getting any satisfactory result, then file a case in the consumer forum for unnecessary charges by the builder. Better, if you take the help of a legal expert in this matter.
