Roshan Pereira, Apartment Resident

Latest Answer: Hi Roshan, You should mail to all society members mentioning the issue in the body of the mail and mention venue and date. Raise the issue in the society meeting and ask for the solution as soon as possible. If you are not getting any satisfactory response from the builder side then make a complaint to the consumer forum as well as a civil suit against the builder for deficiency of service.

Latest Answer: First, check your Allotment Letter. The letter of allotment clearly provides that Cost of external electrification is not included in the basic price and shall be payable by the allottee. The allotment letter also provides that Allottee agrees to pay Govt. or Local body rates, cesses, charges, ground rent, taxes of all and any kind by whatever name called. Therefore, at this stage, you cannot refuse to make the payment of the charges with regard to the aforesaid items as you have agreed to the terms contained in the allotment letter issued to you. If this clause is mentioned then you have to pay otherwise you can file a suit in the consumer court.
