Q:I might need to relocate to Malakpet but I know that locality has faces many civic issues in the past. Can anyone tell me if the civic authorities have done anything about this?
Latest Answer: 2 years ago, the Subedar Amir Ali Khan road that is located adjacent to the Malakpet railway station, had knee deep sewage on the roads. Some had to carefully pick their way across, while other chose to take a diversion. Apparently the civic authorities came immediately to clear up the drainage, but the residents were still not satisfied. Who would be satisfied with temporary work that is anyway going to lead to the same problem again? The problem is that, cattle feed is getting washed away from nearby Chanchalguda area and silt is deposited from the murky napa and damages the drain pipe. I don't think much has been done about the situation because I haven't heard of any civic project being undertaken at Malakpet. But I'm sure some relief will be provided in the form of the new budget. Or at least something must be done to prevent the accumulation of cattle feed and silt.
Q:Hey, I’m shifting soon from Kochi to live in Hyderabad. My office happens to be in Malakpet, which I’m completely unaware of. I need some more info regarding this locality so that I’ll know whether to live there or not.
Latest Answer: I heard they are also planning to make a new vent worth Rs 10 cr near the road under bridge in Malakpet. This is because the metro rail line from Miyapur to L B Nagar is to pass from here. And the metro station of Malakpet will also come up here. So this vent is necessary.
