Latest Answer: Yes, this is definitely a good thing. And not just the traffic blockage, this bus entry from the wrong ends was actually causing a number of accidents. Some vehicles have been damaged, and even some people got hurt because of this.
Q:I recently saw an apartment for rent on Nanjappa Road and I will be
shifting in about 2 weeks. While the flat is really nice, I've heard
that Gandhipuram has crazy traffic problems. Is anyone aware of this?
And if it is so, are there any plans by the government to eradicate this
issue? Please help me with his problem as I will be having to travel to
college somewhere near Vadavalli and can't afford to get late.
Latest Answer: Not only Gandhipuram, but like all other growing cities, Coimbatore
faces a major traffic problem. The infrastructure of the city is not
planned to meet the demand of the growning population. I usually skip
that the main roads and take the inner route to reach my destination as
they are less congested. The longer you stay in the city the more you
will get an idea of what are the alternate routes to take. While the
government has proposed for the construction of a flyover in the
gandhipuram area, I suggest you leave from your place a little earlier
so that you can reach college on time. Best of luck for college and hope you enjoy the city, even with it's traffic woes.
